On January 30, the computer engineering major, the Free Software Group (GASOL) and the Information and Communication Technologies for disabilities Research Group (TICAD) at UPS-Guayaquil held the first meeting on "Young values and entrepreneurship"

Professor Alice Naranjo, who organized this event, said "the aims of this event were that students learn about the elements needed to create a venture that could improve their lives, to encourage entrepreneurship projects and to apply values in daily activities."

Professors and students from institutions which are members of the Academic Network of Inclusive Technologies Research (RAITI for its Spanish acronym) attended the event which was sponsored by the municipality of Guayaquil and Fundación Ecuador.

One of the speakers, Alvaro Coca, encouraged students to work on digital entrepreneurship projects and to avoid drugs and other problems in society.
