In February the music group "Caballeros del Sur" gave a romantic concert in the university theater to celebrate Valentine's Day. The group is made up by René and Vicente Martínez, Juan Carlos Sánchez, Gilberto Brito, Pedro Webster and Iván Mora. 

The group performed the following songs: Sin un amor, Tue eres mi detino, Noches de boca grande, Quien será, Negra mala, Odiame, Poema, Ya no te quiero", Desdichas, Los caminos de la vida, and Chola Cuencana. The performances were accompanied by the university's traditional dance group and theater group.

UPS President Father Javier Herran and UPS-Cuenca Vice President Cesar Vasquez also attended the concert.
