Innovative projects in the 2020 Communication Showroom
Students from the communication undergraduate program in Guayaquil presented their projects during the academic event titled "Showroom Comunicación 2020".
Students from every level presented different proposals, such as: journalistic exhibitions on poetry, culture and interculturality, communicative board games, debates, presentation of communication ventures, live radio news, presentation of virtual magazines, micro documentaries about Ecuadorian culture and video reports of prominent sports people.
Marlene Mosquera, director of this undergraduate program, said that "every semester we have a product or a project according to the lessons learned at all levels. This type of event represents an opportunity for our students, their families and high school students who have an interest in studying communication because they can see how diverse the program is and the multiple scenarios where they can work"
Mildred Orellana, student who created the project "Creamarks" explained that her project is about an advertising agency that manages brands so they can be successful. "Our strength is writing creative content, professional photography and audiovisual production."
"The most important thing about these events is that we are able to create projects and products based on real needs and the current context. These projects are ready to be put into practice", said professor Alfredo Ayora.
Camila Basurto, student of the radio program "La Gran Cabina", which broadcasts Monday through Friday at 7am through www.upsenlina.net, pointed out that the radio show has four segments: news, sports, varieties and interviews. Students are divided to work on locution consultations, controls, logistics, interviews and scripts. "It is not information that we copy from the newspaper, it is news that we elaborate ourselves."
