UPS President Father Javier Herran, UPS-Cuenca Vice President Cesar Vasquez, and UPS professors Maria Sol Villagomez, Daniel Llanos and Pablo Farfan took part in the VI Continental Conference of Salesian University Institutions (IUS), which was held in San Salvador from September 28th to October 1st, 2015.

The aim of the conference, which was held in Universidad de Don Bosco and gathered representatives from 25 institutions, was to learn about and socialize the work being carried out  as well agree on actions that will enable the fulfilment of the 2013-2016 Program, which guides Salesian education worldwide. 

The 5 aspects discussed in the conference were: university pastoral, quality education, networks, impact on society and education. These topics were establish during the 2013 meeting in Brazil. 
It was a very enriching experience for UPS representatives since they were able to agree on actions that will help fulfil the IUS Program as well reaffirm their commitment towards achieving quality education for students through hard work and Salesian charisma.
