Graduation ceremony for 130 new professionals
On May 11, the university's branch campus in Quito held a graduation ceremony for 130 students who successfully ended their undergraduate studies in biotechnology, business administration, accounting and auditing, communication, anthropology, sustainable development, pedagogy, psychology, mechanical engineering and electric engineering.
The ceremony was presided by Jose Juncosa, vice president of the university's branch in Quito, who asked the new professionals to always ask things, "ask about new routes, methods, read about other experiences and communicate them".
Diana Calero, director of the biotechnology major, said graduation is step to becoming more socially aware. "You will be evaluated not for quantity of work but for the quality of work you do; seek the truth and do not be tempted by lies and corruption".
Sara Bedón spoke on behalf of all the graduates, "What we celebrate today is not only a degree as part of our education, but the persons we have become"
