Salesian professionals met to talk about their university experience

On December 9th, the electrical engineering's alumni monitoring department and community involvement department in the university's branch in Guayaquil held a special brotherhood dinner for alumni who have graduated since 2010.

The aim of was to get electrical engineers from UPS together. "We seek that our relationship with our alumni remain strong and that they take part in the different activities organized by the University", said Gabriela Sanchez, coordinator in Guayaquil.

This idea was presented by Pol Vera, UPS alumni who wanted to former students together so they can talk about and remember life in the university.

During this event there was a special tribute to former UPS professor Orly Guzman who taught at the university for several years. "I did not expect this tribute, but I am very happy to see how my students have become professionals with excellent salesian values and ethics.

About 40 former students attended the event where they also enjoyed presentations from the UPS modern dance group and singer Alejandra Hernandez, former UPS student. 

The alumni monitoring department organizes training sessions, sports events, and workshops for former students. "Many students support this program because it means they can do activities that foster the university's salesian spirit".
