To celebrate World Book Day the university's reading and writing center in Cuenca held meeting to talk about the book "Lengua Morlaca" written by Oswaldo Encalada. This meeting was attended by the author, students, professors and representatives from municipality's culture department.

Students gave their comments about book while Oswaldo Encalada answered all their questions. "Many people attended the event and this demonstrated students' interest in reading", said the organizers. 

Every month the reading and writing center holds activities to encourage reading and help students' develop skills in language, reading and writing. The aim is to strengthen communication competencies and develop a culture for reading within the university community.
