In order to complement all the knowledge acquired in class about management and development of public companies, production process of electric energy and economic development, on June 24th, business administration students from Quito visited the Agoyan Hydroelectric power plant in the city of Baños.

During their visit, students learned about the operation of this plant and understood how they apply the basic concepts of business administration in the management of a state company which is one of the first that generated electricity in Ecuador.

For Antonella Peñaloza, a second year student, this visit helped her understand the importance of organizational commitment, teamwork, work environment, leadership and communication in an organization. "These factors help companies reach their goals,  workers share values, attitudes, standards, operations and tasks for the benefit of the organization"

Professor Adriano Redrobán, organizer of the visit, said these extracurricular activities allow the students to have a closer view of reality. Professor Piedad Sandoval also attended the visit.
