The library offers online support
The library in our branch campus in Guayaquil is serving the university community and the overall public through digital means due the health emergency. It is providing information to contribute to students' education as well help professors and researchers get the information they need.
The library staff offers personalized assistance via email, Zoom, Facebook and Instagram to give quick and effective responses to user requirements. In addition, they disseminate and provide information related to the Virtual Library and content search in indexed databases.
"There are more than 30 thousand digital books that users can consult, but to optimize their use, we are preparing a list with links to the most requested books" said Olga Crespo, librarian in Guayaquil.
The Tifloteca (library for people with visual impairment) and the Inclusion Support Center support and attend to the specific educational needs of students with visual, hearing and intellectual disabilities to help them strengthen the research process for their online education.
"The library staff still works from home in the registration of final graduation projects for undergraduate and graduate students; as well as managing the acquisition of new physical and digital bibliography," said Crespo
