Talk on participatory research and collective production

On July 23rd UPS held a panel discussion, with Spanish researchers Victor Sampedro and David Villa, on collective intelligence and networks. UPS President Javier Herran, faculty directors, professors and students attended the talk.
David Villa began the discussion with the topic "Good Knowledge: sustainable models and public policies for a social economy of common and open knowledge in Ecuador". Collaborative and participatory research carried out in several regions of Ecuador and other countries analyzes the political process of knowledge and proposes actions for the country's economic sectors like: education, science, culture, agriculture, sotware, hardware, and others.
Victor Sampredo spoke about his book "El cuarto poder en red" which shows how important it is for journalism to recover communication as a common good. Participants spoke about methodologies and actions in order to make changes in productive projects and emphasizing collective intelligence as a means for production in a social economy of common and open knowledge that will facilitate the flow of participatory research, collective production, which is open and created by people.
