The Superintendency of Information and Communication (SUPERCOM) invited communication and journalism students from Ecuador to the second competition titled "Know your laws". The aim of this competition is to promote the knowledge of the organic law of communication (LOC for its acronym in Spanish) within future professionals in this field.

Pablo Vasquez, a communication student in UPS, won the second edition of this competition. Around 1,600 students took an online exam simultaneously from November 14th – Nov. 17th.

Pablo Vasquez was awarded a certificate by Luis Enrique Zamora, intendant of SUPERCOM and alumni of the communication major at UPS. Pablo Vasquez also won a trip to Colombia to carry out his practicums in a Colombian means of communication. The second place winner will be awarded an online training session and the third place winner will get technological equipment.

The LOC has 119 articles, 24 transitional regulations and is divided into six titles: preliminary regulations and definitions, principles and rights, social communication system, content regulation, media and radio spectrum
