The projects were created by students and professors who seek to provide technological tools that will improve the lives of people with disabilities. Alice Naranjo, coordinator of the TICAD Research Group, said these projects will provide innovative solutions by combining technology and medicine.

The projects:

- A detection, control and prevention system for Alzheimer

- Academic monitoring system for students with disabilities

- Creation of 3D educational prototypes

- System to test intellectual disability

UPS and Fundación Sin Barreras will work together to provide tools for an efficient diagnosis of a person's intellectual disability in an automated way. "it is necessary that universities provide applicable projects to solve health problems", said Naranjo.
