José Ulloa, the environmental engineering school director, welcomed students, professors, and overall public to the presentation of research papers and posters on climate change, environmental impact assessment and studies of Aguarongo Forest's flora in the year 2014.  This type of event helps encourage students to conduct research , said José Ulloa.

Freddy Portilla, the coordinator of the Aguarongo Scientific Station, gave details on the research carried out in the Aguarongo Forest and said it is an ideal place for doing research considering the rich nature in the area. He said students worked really hard
