The university's branch campus in Cuenca began the academic tutoring sessions for students who are scholarship holders of the National Secretariat of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (SENESCYT). There were 120 students, 10 tutoring assistants and project coordinators.

The aim of this project is to implement mechanisms to monitor students who were awarded scholarships by Senescyt. The proposal implies advising students since the time they begin their studies until they graduate. 

The sessions have a salesian approach which adapt to the needs of each student. The aim is that the tutors provide students with an integral education, both personal and academic, that will help them be successful. The approach is focused on each student.
