The communication undergraduate program in our branch campus in Guayaquil is celebrating its 10th anniversary and it held an international conference titled "Date analytics applied to communication".

The conference was led by Tiffany Andry, PhD in information and communication sciences at Louvain University (Belgium). She presented the results of her research titled "L´influence de l´ornementation des visualisations de données sur la construction de sens. Méthologie et résultats". The talk was in Franch and translated simultaneously into Spanish. 

The talk was attended by over 60 participants who were very interested in learning more about journalism, design, audiovisual production and research.

"The events we organize are for all the students and graduates of our program so they can apply the information in their professional field and in life. I hope the recommendations the speaker presented at the conference will be considered, they are useful tools that can be applied in different areas of communication ", said Marlene Mosquera, director of the Communication undergraduate program.

Nicole Ruiz, a fifth-semester student, said: "I thank the Communication program for organizing these events that allow us to acquire more knowledge that we can put into practice. I am proud to be a Salesian, it is an honor to congratulate my undergraduate program for its 10 years of existence".
