Automotive engineering students from our branch campus in Cuenca presented their research at the 21st IEEE International Conference on Industrial Technology" (ICIT 2020), held in Buenos Aires Argentina.

Michelle Ortiz, Darío Paladines, Ronald Alvarado, Joffre Vidal, David Mallahuari and Henry Montesdeoca, and their professor Diego Valladolid, from the transport engineering research group (GIIT) took part in the event which was atended by researchers from several Latin American and European countires.

There were tutorials, keeynote speeches and presentations of research on advanced industrial technologies, renewable energy and automotive technology.

Students presented the following papers:

- "Proposal of Fuzzy Controllers for Improve Features of Driven Style in Electric Vehicles Using Experimental Route Data'' presented by Darío Paladines and Joffre Vidal. Controllers based on the theory of Fuzzy Logic with the aim of improving the driving conditions and reducing energy consumed in Electric Vehicles (EV).

- "Experimental Performance Evaluation of Electric Vehicles (EV) Based on Analysis of Power and Torque Losses" presented by Ronald Alvarado and David Mallahuari, Shows a methodological proposal to determine the efficiency of electrical and mechanical components in EV.

- "Optimal Adjustment of Parameters for the Powertrain Model of an Electric Vehicle Using Experimental Data'' presented by Michelle Ortiz and Henry Montesdeoca,
Adjustment of parameters in the mathematical models of the powertrain in EV using experimental data.
