UPS professors will take part in the 2nd Iberoamerican Biennal on Childhood and Youth
UPS professors René Unda and Daniel Llanos will take part in the 2nd Iberoamerican Biennal on Childhood and Youth (II Bienal Iberoamericana de Infancias y Juventudes) which will be held in Manizales, Colombia in November.
The Biennal will have prestigious and renowned researchers in the field of childhood and youth studies; the university's professors will present topics related to the participation of childhood and youth in sociopolitical and intercultural conflicts.
Professors Unda and Llanos are members of the university's Childhood, Adolescents and Youth Research Group and the CLASCO "Infancias, juventudes: políticas, culturas e instituciones sociales" Group since 2010. These groups have been fundamental in helping these two professors publish and disseminate their work in Latin America.
For UPS, participating and having its academic production in this event means a lot since this Ibero American meeting will lead to conversations about youth, which is the focus of the university's work.
The Biennal is organized by the Red Iberoamericana de Posgrados en Infancia y Juventud Red INJU, el Grupo de Trabajo CLACSO Juventudes, Infancias: Políticas, Culturas e Instituciones Sociales and el Programa Posdoctoral de Investigación en Ciencias Sociales, Niñez y Juventud.
We invite UPS professors and students to send their papers up to July 4th.
