Cooperation agreements with public institutions

The university is constantly strengthening its ties with public and private institutions; it now signed an agreement with the city's Security Council in Cuenca. The signing was attended by Xavier Barrera, president of the Security Council of the municipality of Cuenca; Froilan Salinas, director of the Security Council; Fernando Moscoso, vice president of our branch campus in Cuenca; and Cristian Diaz, director of the risk and disaster management undergraduate program. 

The agreement includes students' internship activities, community engagement, research, continuous education, and more, all based on the requirements of both institutions. 

Xavier Barrera thanked university officials for working together with public institutions and finding ways to benefit society. Froilan Salinas stated that the agreement will allow both institutions to work together on the same goals and benefit mutually.

Fernando Moscoso, vice president of our branch campus in Cuenca, said that the agreement is a demonstration that academia can work together with public institutions in favor of society.

Agreement with Corporación Cultural Curiloma – Sevilla de Oro

The university signed another agreement with Corporación Cultural Curiloma – Sevilla de Oro; this agreement will be in charge of the master's degree in cultural management and the communication undergraduate program in our branch campus in Cuenca.

The signing of the agreement was attended by UPS president Juan Cardenas; Fernando Moscoso, vice president of our branch campus in Cuenca; and Victor Manuel Maldonado, representative of Corporación Cultural Curiloma. The agreement will include community engagement projects, internships and community service.

Juan Cardenas, UPS president, spoke about the importance of these agreements because they enable students to put their knowledge into practice and develop skills needed for real life work situations in the field of communication and culture.
