Our branch campus in Cuenca, the Unesco Chairs of the communication research group (GICUPS) and (Llacta) are working on the study of the socio-cognitive construction of Andean ethnic and cultural identity in the communities of Quilloac, Huayrapungo and Ingapirca , in the province of Cañar.

Jorge Galán, professor - researcher at UPS, said the aim of the project is to develop an educational environment based on information and communication technologies (ICT) that enhances Andean cultural identity both in communities included in this research and others.

Some of the products that will be developed are:  a 3D projection of the Ingapirca Archaeological Complex. A proposal for educational tools based on ICTs. A board game that will highlight the values of communities and Andean Culture
