Scholarships for doctoral studies and post-doctoral short term stays

There are 25 doctoral scholarships and 25 short term stay scholarships available for candidates from institutions and universities that have bilateral cooperation agreements.

The deadline to present candidates is April 9^th, 2015.

Characteristics of the program:

• Candidates for the doctoral program must hold a master’s degree that makes them eligible for the doctoral program
• The scholarship for the doctoral program lasts 21 months distributed in 3 years
• Candidates to the doctoral program must choose one of the 48 Spanish universities (Spanish universities españolas ( list pdf.)) that have, up to now, signed an agreement with Fundacion Carolina. The conditions vary by university, there are sixteen agreements that will improve conditions regarding monthly payments for doctoral studies since the university co-finances the stay either with 400 € a month or accommodation in the university.
• Candidates can choose the doctoral studies from those universities except Universidad de Autónoma de Barcelona and Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña, where doctoral studies are limited (in the case of UAB, read this file)

For this 15th edition there will be 323 scholarships for postgraduate programs, 50 summer schools scholarships (Escuela Complutense de Verano), and 15 scholarships for the entrepreneurship program. 

The programs cover all areas of study and it is aimed at university professors, researchers, and professionals from all Latin American countries members of the Ibero-American Community of Nations so they can complete their studies in Spanish universities.

The deadline to apply for postgraduate and entrepreneurship programs is March 4th, 2015; and for the summer school February 10th, 2015.
