The electronics and automation undergraduate program in our branch campus in Guayaquil invites the university community to take part in the basic course on science and nuclear technology.

The 40 hour course is aimed at UPS students and the general public for them to learn more about science and nuclear technology, the behavior or atoms, the benefits of nuclear energy and understand where it can be applied.

The topics are:

- Introduction and fundamentals of nuclear energy

- From nuclear fuel to electrical outlet

- Nuclear power plants and their waste

- Medical applications

- Other nuclear applications

- Fusion
