The university’s Information and Communication Technologies for Disabilities Research Group (TICAD for its acronym in Spanish) and the Research Seedbeds from UPS’s branch campus in Guayaquil have developed a sign language manual for professors which will be presented during a conference aimed at professors, students and the overall public. 

The aim of this manual is that professors learn the basic terms used in the classroom in order to communicate with students. Representatives from the Asociación Cultural de Sordos de Guayaquil (ASOCULSOR) will also attend the event.
