For the second consecutive year, the Information and Communication Technologies for Inclusion Research Group (TICAD for its acronym in Spanish) held a training course on Research Seedbeds aimed at undergraduate students in the university's branch campus in Guayaquil.

The aim of the course was to provide participants technological tools and new knowledge on inclusive ICTs projects. "We want students to learn about inclusive projects and feel encouraged to suggest their own innovative ideas in this field", said Alice Naranjo, coordinator of the TICAD group.

Guelda Aurora Carballeda Arosemena de Tirstan, the coordinator of the Computer Systems Research Group at Universidad Tecnica de Panama (UTP), talked to students through a videoconference about the importance of inclusive projects in higher education institutions. Aldo Garcia Giussepi talked to participants about ZAPPER equipment, an electrocuter of parasites, bacteria and viruses

For Naranjo, these activities allow students to develop their creativity to present projects and prototypes that strengthen research in UPS. "Each academic period there are training courses to encourage the work of seedbeds, the writing of papers and creation of projects and prototypes.
