UPS will coordinate the "Community psychology" group from the Inter American Society of Psychology

The university's psychology undergraduate program is part of the Inter American Society of Psychology's project titled "Community psychology", which enables students and professors to take part in academic and scientific talks with experts from the region.

In this regard, this month professor Gino Grondona, director of the psychology program, was chosen as one of the coordinators for the group of community psychology. This will strengthen the participation of students in projects with people from other countries, which will help them learn more other realities. 

Professor Grondona will be in charge of the group till 2019, one of his aims is the dissemination of work done by the group, the recognition of community psychology in inter American congresses and strengthening IT mechanisms, with particular attention to the sustainable development goals of the UN.

 "UPS is a reference point in America regarding community psychology, it works up close with people, according to the university's principles which educates people with values", said professor Grondona. 

Professor Grondona has been part of the Inter American Society of Psychology since 2011 but 25 years ago he started working in community psychology in order to improve people's lives.

The society was founded in Mexico in 1951 by a group of scientists.
