Estudiantes exhiben sus proyectos integradores

The mechatronics undergraduate program in Guayaquil held the second projects competition where students from different semesters present the prototypes they have created in the following categories: introduction to mechatronics engineering and engineering software, technical drawing, calculation of variables and research techniques, rigid body dynamics and electric circuits.

The projects had to first be presented to a group of professors to analyze its functionality, creativity and innovation, from there only 20 projects were chosen to participate in the competition. "We seek to integrate academia with practical work and this year we have more categories so students can implement new technologies", said Jorge Fariño, director of the mechatronics program.

Students had to present their prototypes in front of a jury that assessed factors such as usefulness and sustainability. "These activities are very important because society needs to innovate through technology and that's what we do", said Heidy Solorzano, mechatronics student.
