A graduation ceremony was held in "El Giron" and "Sur" campus for 226 students who successfully ended their undergraduate programs in Pedagogy, communication, psychology, intercultural bilingual education, business administration, accounting and auditing, management and leadership, biotechnology, electronics engineering, environmental engineering, computer engineering, electrical engineering and mechanical engineering.
Jose Juncosa, vice president of the branch campus in Quito, spoke to graduates and said "Your path through this university gave it further value and today your effort is rewarded. Our commitment with you is not over, it will continue". He also talked about the research carried out by teachers, students and research groups , research which is later published in journals and books .
Carlos Maldonado, professor of mechanical engineering, said "the university has provided you the tools that will help you in your professional lives. You have to take care of your knowledge and skills and make them grow. Many challenges lie ahead of you".
Sheyla Garcia and Andrea Corrales spoke on behalf of the graduates; "The university has come to an end to open new doors for us. We leave full of energy, emotion and bit of fear, but prepared for our new professional challenges", said Garcia.
