The university's Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship Ecosystem presented the project titled "De la Ciencia a la Conciencia", created by communication graduates: Maria Caridad Tola, Jazmin Porras, Alejandra Jaramillo and Johanna Orellana. The aim of the project is to bring students closer to science by having them make videos about the research projects carried out by the research groups.

The project was presented in all three branch campuses: Cuenca, Quito and Guayaquil. The Ecuadorian actress Juana Guarderas was the host during the presentations. The authors also had the opportunity to talk about their work; "the project was a challenge for us and we want it to become a challenge for you so you can use all your imagination and creativity in your projects", said Caridad Tola. 

In the event, they also presented the youtube channel "WakeUPScience" where the videos will be published. The videos will be based on the projects carried out by the research groups in the university. 

UPS president Javier Herran told students: "You belong to the generation of technology and humanism, you are the ones who will make changes in society. You have our support, the future is in your hands"

The event managed to encourage and get students involved so they can create their own learning content for society.
