The books "Civilizaciones en disputa: educación y evangelización en territorio shuar", written by Jose Juncosa and published by Abya Yala and Universidad Andina Simon Bolivar; "Los desafíos de la educación salesiana", written by UPS president Juan Cardenas along with other authors, coordinated by Maria Sol Villagomez and published by Abya Yala –UPS; and "Cuerpos, territorios, feminismos", written by several authors and coordinated by Manuel Bayon and published by Abya Yala; are part of the 2020 Catalog presented by the Latin American Publishing Houses Association and will be presented in Frankfurt's Book Fair.

The university's publishing house – Abya Yala – UPS has taken part in the Spanish and English version of the catalogue for three years now as part of the University Publishing House Network. In the first catalogue there were 662 books, 89 publishing houses from 11 countries. 

This joint effort allows us to show the best of university publishing production in the region and make the editorial production of Ecuador visible. Additionally, this catalogue is a continuous document that requires a long-term commitment from all who participate in the proposal, as it is key in order to achieve a greater reach of our publications.

The sale of translation and co-publishing rights represents an incomparable opportunity to internationalize our publications, crossing spatial and linguistic borders as it is one of the largest book fairs in the world.
