A special online ceremony was held to present the new master's degree programs in: telematics, renewable natural resources, mechanical engineering, digital strategic communication, cultural management, psychology, special education, industrial production, business administration, accounting and auditing. 

The ceremony was attended by Juan Cardenas, UPS president; the vice presidents of each branch campus, the head of research, the head of postgraduate programs, directors of the master's degree programs, students and special guests.

Father Juan Cárdenas Tapia congratulated the students who have decided to continue their professional preparation with postgraduate programs offered at UPS, he said "it is very gratifying to greet this group of people who will continue their education despite the adverse circumstances experienced by the health crisis caused by COVID 19, which in turn has unleashed other crises in different areas of life and society". I congratulate you for seeking to improve, since a postgraduate degree is always one of the most effective tools to keep professional knowledge updated and constitutes a differentiating effect for employers and greater job opportunities, it is about growing professionally.

Diego Peñaloza, head of the postgraduate programs, said that one of the fundamental tasks of the university is to educate people that will help build a better world. "We must all contribute, but someone must initiate this social change, someone must orchestrate the change, these will be the new leaders and you have been chosen to carry out this task from each of your professions and from your field of expertise".
