Educational innovation is an ongoing challenge for society and for those in charge of higher education, especially university officials and professors. This research means sharing the future from innovation in order to take on the challenges of modern education and its changing context from the actions of the student community and the population by fostering inter university cooperation according to those who see inclusion and equity a way to develop life.

The article presented by Javier Herran and Fernando Pesantez in the Cuban journal on Higher Education (Revista Cubana de Educación Superior) states the need that innovative universities must be driven by the needs of the community and the Andean Sumak Kawsay (Good Living). "

"Being consistent with the type of society we aspire for, overcoming the model that responds to neoliberal policies to achieve equitable societies with rights and duties," explained the authors.

"We understand innovation as the creation of spaces and opportunities that students have to transform knowledge by applying a non-traditional system", said Father Javier, who refers to the work carried out UPS on a daily basis in order to have innovative spaces in the university.

Fernando Pesantez said: "the university has an important challenge since, despite the multiple social demands, it can not only become a means of service to the economy and demands. It can not only provide useful information to the market." According to him, professors should also be interested in consistency and the creation of new knowledge.

The article highlights how Universidad Politécnica Salesiana works to reach its goals and improve both internally and externally. In this process, Father Herran knows the effort of professors and students for being the ones who give the salesian university system life.
