Our branch campus in Cuenca held the 11th International Congress on Auditing and Business (CIAGEN 2024). The event gathered national and international experts, it was an opportunity to discuss and analyze the main topic: “Artificial intelligence in economics and business”.

For three days, more than 300 participants participated in keynote conferences, round tables and presentations by academic and business experts, such as: Marcos Estrella from Huawei Latin America and the Caribbean, Ander Etxeberria from Mondragón Group from Spain,  Juan Morales international member of the Bioethics Committee of UNESCO, Alberto Murakani from Chubb Seguros, and Fernando Anaya from Banco del Pichincha, and other important guests.

CIAGEN 2024 not only provided a space for reflection and knowledge exchange, but also an opportunity to highlight the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of artificial intelligence. In this regard, the importance of research, promotion of education in science and technology. The congress discussed the following topics: Applications of artificial intelligence in the world of production and work; applications of artificial intelligence in the provision of banking services; and the ethics of artificial intelligence in the economy, education and business.
The Organizing Committee of the International Congress announced that the next event, CIAGEN Congress 2026, will be in Guatemala.

CIAGEN 2024 left a significant legacy by laying the foundation for future initiatives that drive progress in the field of business and technology. This congress marked an important event by bringing together leading experts to exchange experiences, fostering collaboration in these fields, in addition to strengthening networks with the Salesian Institutions of Higher Education (IUS).
